UK jewellery designers

Independent contemporary jewellers represent the best of British design. Passionate, free-spirited and innovative, these artisans are not afraid to ignore trends, explore new styles and create emotional, evocative pieces. Jewellery in particular is something that we have mastered in the UK; with so many artisan designers, many of them remain hidden gems ready for the next person to stumble along and spread the word. On the other hand, many British jewellery designers have already broken the mould and exploded into the mainstream, winning awards and appearing in popular publications.
British jewellery has a rich heritage of goldsmithing with numerous jewellery districts dotted around the UK. It’s not surprising that many UK jewellery brands go on to become international successes. Here are a few best jewellery designers of UK. Check out!

Sara Gunn
Sara Gunn creates bold and distinctive fashion jewellery in leather and metals. Rich textures adorn elegant, curvaceous leather cuffs and angular rings alike. Sara's belief that that jewellery should be as individual as the wearer has led her to explore organic processes such as acid etching, which enable a high degree of variation.
Sources of inspiration range from the urban landscape and gritty London streets to microscopic details within the body.
Each piece of jewellery is hand made by Sara in her London workshop in limited production runs, many pieces are one-off. Sara aims to create unique, covetable pieces that are a pleasure to wear.

Caroline Creba
"Jewellery is a lifelong passion for me and I simply love seeing my creations bought to life by people wearing them – there is nothing better than seeing your jewellery enjoyed by others." Caroline Creba’s love affair with jewellery and precious stones began at an early age. As a child, she spent hours sifting through her mother’s jewellery box, intrigued by the vivid colours and glimmering light. This, coupled with Caroline’s obsession for collecting shells at the beach, was where it all began . . .  Years later at art college, Caroline discovered how to sculpt and work with metals, and from there she studied silversmithing and jewellery design at the internationally renowned School of Jewellery in Birmingham.

Alex Monroe
Alex Monroe jewellery is synonymous with a very British sense of style. It is feminine, delicate and quirky, but above all consistently wearable. Now a much loved brand world-wide, each and every piece is individually designed and handmade in England by Alex and his team of expert jewellers. Inspired by nature and nostalgia, every piece has a tale to tell…and the story continues with you.
Alex grew up in the countryside, in the wilds of Suffolk in a big old house surrounded by nature. He lived a life of adventure in rivers and forests, roaming freely in nature’s playground. After training at the Sir John Cass School of Art in London, Alex created his first collection in 1987 to critical acclaim. His intention was to produce excellent quality jewellery, which was originally designed, hand made and well priced. This was jewellery made to be worn and made to be loved and these values remain unchanged to this day.
