NBK111 Officially Titled ‘Dada’: Balakrishna’s Mass Actioner Arrives on December 24
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s much-awaited 111th film has finally received its official identity. The movie, which had been referred to by its working title NBK111, has now been titled Dada. The makers unveiled the title along with a new promotional glimpse, while also confirming the film’s theatrical release date as December 24, 2026.
The announcement has added considerable excitement among Balakrishna’s fans, particularly because the film brings him back together with director Gopichand Malineni after their successful collaboration on Veera Simha Reddy. The new project is being positioned as another large-scale commercial action entertainer featuring the veteran actor in a striking new presentation.
Balakrishna Gets a Powerful New Identity
The choice of the title Dada immediately stands out because of its association with authority, power and an imposing personality. The latest glimpse attempts to establish exactly that image around Balakrishna’s character.
Rather than simply relying on the conventional promotional treatment associated with a star vehicle, the new video focuses heavily on the protagonist’s attitude and larger-than-life presence. The visuals indicate that the character is expected to carry a strong influence within the story, while the action-heavy presentation gives the project an aggressive tone.
The glimpse also continues the promotional campaign that began earlier this year. The first major glimpse, released on Balakrishna’s birthday, had already hinted that the actor would be presented differently from some of his recent roles. The campaign carried the idea of a contemporary makeover for the star, building curiosity around what the director had planned for him.
Gopichand Malineni and Balakrishna Reunite
Dada marks another collaboration between Balakrishna and Gopichand Malineni following Veera Simha Reddy. Their earlier film successfully combined action, emotion and mass-oriented storytelling, and expectations are naturally high for their second project together.
The director is once again working with Balakrishna on a film designed on a substantial scale. Earlier promotional material suggested that the project would explore an intense world while giving the lead actor a distinct screen persona.
The film is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner. The production has been mounted as a major commercial project, with the team aiming for a theatrical experience built around action and star appeal.
Kajal Aggarwal and Manchu Manoj in Key Roles
The cast also adds to the interest surrounding Dada. Kajal Aggarwal is paired opposite Balakrishna, marking another collaboration between the two actors after their appearance together in Bhagavanth Kesari.
Actor Manchu Manoj is also part of the project in an important role. His presence has generated additional curiosity because the film is expected to present him in a role that has significant importance within the narrative.
With Balakrishna at the centre, the film brings together an established commercial director, a popular female lead and a distinctive supporting cast, giving the project a strong mainstream Telugu cinema profile.
Thaman Handles the Music
Music is another important component of the film, with S. Thaman composing the score. The composer has previously worked extensively with Balakrishna and has been associated with several of the actor’s recent commercial successes.
The promotional glimpses released so far have placed considerable emphasis on background music and elevation moments. Thaman’s score is therefore expected to play an important role in enhancing the action sequences and the protagonist’s screen presence.
Christmas Release Confirmed
Along with the title announcement, the makers have locked December 24, 2026 as the theatrical release date. The timing places Dada directly in the Christmas holiday season, traditionally considered an important period for major theatrical releases.
The confirmed date gives fans a clear idea of when they can expect Balakrishna’s next big-screen outing. It also gives the production team several months to complete the remaining work and build a larger promotional campaign before the film reaches theatres.
The title reveal has now moved the project into a new phase of promotion. With NBK111 officially becoming Dada, attention is likely to shift toward the film’s upcoming songs, teasers, trailers and further character-related updates.
For Balakrishna, the film represents another major commercial outing, while for Gopichand Malineni, it offers an opportunity to build on the momentum of his earlier collaboration with the star. With a December 24 release, a prominent cast and an action-oriented presentation, Dada is shaping up as one of the notable Telugu releases scheduled for the 2026 Christmas season.
