Hyderabad’s rapidly expanding northern and north-western suburbs are set to receive another important road infrastructure boost with the opening of the new flyover at Bachupally Junction. The project has been developed to address persistent traffic congestion at one of the increasingly busy junctions connecting several residential and commercial corridors.

The new structure is expected to make daily commuting easier for motorists travelling between Bachupally, Miyapur, Nizampet, Gajularamaram, Mallampet and Gandimaisamma. Six-Lane Flyover Built to Ease Congestion

The Bachupally Junction flyover has been constructed under the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). The structure is approximately 1.3 kilometres long and has six lanes, providing additional capacity for traffic moving through the junction.

The project received government approval with an overall allocation of around ₹141 crore. A substantial portion of the funds was used for construction of the flyover, while the remaining amount was earmarked for land acquisition and associated works.

The infrastructure has been developed with the intention of separating through traffic from vehicles using the junction and surrounding roads. This is particularly significant for commuters who regularly travel through Bachupally during peak hours.

Why Bachupally Needed a Flyover
