A Packed Week for India’s Primary Market
The upcoming schedule highlights the continued momentum in India’s IPO market. Within just five trading days, investors will have to track three new public offerings, three IPO closures and eight expected stock-market listings.
The combination of fresh fundraising and new listings is likely to keep attention firmly focused on the primary market as investors assess issue valuations, subscription demand and the performance of recently listed stocks.
For companies, the active IPO environment provides an avenue to raise capital and bring their shares to public markets. For investors, however, the growing number of offerings also means that evaluating each issue on its individual fundamentals and valuation remains important.
With September beginning on the back of a particularly busy IPO calendar, Dalal Street is set for another closely watched week in the primary market.
