Chandrababu Naidu Visits Gannela in Alluri Sitarama Raju District

Amaravati, August 29, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Gannela village in the Araku Valley mandal of Alluri Sitarama Raju district on Saturday as part of a programme focused on tribal communities and government welfare initiatives.

The Chief Minister’s visit brought the state administration’s attention to the region, with a series of public and party-related engagements scheduled during his stay. The programme included interaction with beneficiaries, a visit to government and community stalls, and discussions concerning the development and welfare of people living in the tribal belt.

Naidu reached Gannela at around 10 a.m. From there, he proceeded towards RK Nagar, where he participated in the Sanjeevini programme. The programme provided an opportunity for the Chief Minister to interact with beneficiaries and review the impact of initiatives being implemented for people in the area.

Following the beneficiary interaction, Naidu took part in a Praja Vedika programme at Gannela. The public interaction formed an important part of the visit, bringing the Chief Minister closer to local residents and providing a platform to highlight issues and government programmes concerning the region.

During the programme, Naidu also visited various stalls arranged at the venue. The stalls showcased activities and initiatives connected with the local community and government programmes. His visit to these displays was part of the scheduled itinerary during his stay in Gannela.

After completing the public programmes, Naidu was scheduled to participate in a meeting with Telugu Desam Party cadre at around 1:40 p.m. The party meeting was included in the Chief Minister’s itinerary before his departure from the region.

Following the meeting, Naidu was scheduled to leave for Undavalli by air, bringing his visit to the district to a close.

The visit is significant as the state government continues to focus on improving opportunities and services in tribal regions. Direct interactions with beneficiaries and local communities are also intended to provide the administration with a clearer understanding of issues faced by residents in geographically remote areas.
