Some reports claimed that Zardari had travelled to Liechtenstein, the small European country situated between Switzerland and Austria, supposedly to discuss arrangements for his son’s marriage. The claims were then amplified online, with posts suggesting that the prospective bride belonged to an Austrian royal lineage.

The story became even more sensational when a name was attached to the speculation.
