Triptii Dimri Joins Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Action-Thriller "Spirit"

Bollywood's rising star, Triptii Dimri, has officially joined Sandeep Reddy Vanga's much-anticipated action-thriller, Spirit, starring Prabhas. The announcement was made on May 24, 2025, with both Dimri and Vanga sharing the news on their social media platforms. Dimri expressed her excitement, stating, "Still sinking in. So grateful to be trusted with this journey. Thank you Sandeep Reddy Vanga, honoured to be a part of your vision" .

This casting comes after reports that Deepika Padukone exited the project due to scheduling and remuneration-related reasons . Dimri's collaboration with Vanga isn't new; she previously worked with him on the 2023 film Animal, which significantly boosted her career. Her performance in Animal earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. 

Spirit is described as a serious cop story and marks the first on-screen collaboration between Prabhas and Triptii Dimri. The film is set to be released in nine languages, aiming for a pan-Indian appeal . Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Pranay Reddy Vanga under the banners of T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, the film is expected to go on floors in October 2025.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma praised Vanga's decision to cast Dimri, calling her "the next big thing in Bollywood" and commending her screen presence and performance in Animal .

Triptii Dimri's addition to Spirit has generated significant buzz, with fans expressing their excitement on social media.
