Bollywood's much-anticipated horror-comedy Thama, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, has entered its final shooting phase in the scenic locales of Ooty. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for Munjya, the film commenced its concluding schedule on April 28, focusing on pivotal scenes, including the climax and deepening the lead characters' love story. 

A Mythological Twist to Vampire Lore

Thama weaves a unique narrative, blending Indian mythology with vampire folklore. The story follows a historian, portrayed by Ayushmann Khurrana, who delves into ancient legends, uncovering a tale that oscillates between present-day Delhi and the historic city of Vijayanagar. The film's title draws inspiration from Ashwatthama, the immortal warrior from the Mahabharata, adding a layer of depth to its mythological undertones. 

Star-Studded Ensemble Cast

Joining the lead duo are seasoned actors Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Nawazuddin is set to portray a vampire, with his character's origin story being filmed amidst the lush forests near Doddabetta Peak in the Nilgiris. He is expected to join the shoot in mid-May, contributing to the film's climactic sequences.

With the final schedule expected to wrap up by May 25, Thama is slated for a grand release during Diwali 2025. The film promises a captivating blend of horror, comedy, and romance, set against a backdrop of rich Indian mythology and folklore.
